1. Acme

Acme is one of the most popular stores in the nation and has been for many years.  It’s a well-known fact that Acme always stays open on Christmas Day.  This year it will be opening at 11 AM, giving shoppers plenty of time to head over after presents are opened.  Acme has everything from groceries to clothing needs, so it’s definitely worth checking out if you need some last-minute items.

2. Albertsons

Albertsons is open on Christmas Day from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be closed the rest of the day, as well as all other days until Saturday, December 28th when they resume normal hours again. The deli closes at Midnight and the grocery stays open until closing time that night.

3. Cumberland Farms

Open from 7 am-12 pm on Christmas Eve. This is great for those last-minute gifts! They are also open until 12 pm on New Year’s Eve too, so there is no need to worry about missing the holiday countdown with your loved ones.

4. 7-Eleven

Stores open on Christmas: 24 hours a day. The convenience store chain is the only convenience store offering round-the-clock service during this holiday season. During last year’s Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day, over 120 stores remained open continuously throughout the night to serve customers who were working or traveling through late hours.

5. Circle K/Couche-Tard

Circle K/Courche-Tard is a convenience store found in North America and Europe. It operates more than 14,000 stores worldwide with around 60,000 employees. In order for this business to operate on Christmas Day, the company requires all of its locations to be open from early morning until late at night.

In addition, Circle K/Courche-Tard’s parent company, Alimentation Couche-Tard (TSE: ATD.B), states on their website that the specific hours of operation for each location are “subject to change” and can vary by region as well as store type.

6. Speedway

Speedway is opening at least one location in each of its six markets on Christmas Eve. The stores are open for 24 hours straight, with plans to reopen the following day on December 26th.

7. CVS

CVS will be open on Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas Day. The pharmacy department is usually open all days of the year, including weekends. Pharmacy hours may vary by location; check your local store for details or call ahead to confirm availability before visiting in person. CVS pharmacies are also located within Target stores during the holiday season but are not always open.

8. Family Dollar/Dollar Tree

Family Dollar/Dollar Tree is open from its normal hours on Christmas Eve and remains open until midnight. The store will then close for a few hours before reopening at seven am on December 26th. Both of these stores are also closed on the day after Christmas, which occurs this year on Friday, December 27th.

9. Giant Food Stores

Giant Food Stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m on Christmas Day, which is the second straight year they have been one of few stores that are accepting customers at that time frame. Many people send their children out in search of gifts, so it’s best if parents could keep an eye on them while they’re out.

10. QuickChek

QuickChek is open on Christmas Day from 12 AM until 11 PM! Take a break from your shopping to get some fresh coffee before Santa comes down the chimney. Make sure you stop by Quickchek for all of your holiday needs.

11. Rite Aid

As a Rite Aid customer, you can spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the company of your family without needing to worry about running out of prescriptions. This year, Rite Aid will be open from 8 am-11 pm on December 24th and 25th. So come in for all your last-minute shopping needs!

12. Safeway

Safeway will be open from 12 p.m. until the last customer leaves on Christmas day, December 25th. This is a great option for those who want to do some shopping and don’t feel like it can wait another week or two! Safeway also provides catering services if you would rather have your groceries delivered to you than carry them out.
